FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is the location tracking?
Similar to ordering a ridesharing service, our system uses the client's GPS chip in their device to track the location, providing accuracy up to 10 feet when clients access the portal and allow location services. If the client denies location services, the system will use the IP address of the device to track the location, providing city-level accuracy. How is location data collected?
Location data is collected when clients access the portal and allow location services. When allowed, the current geolocation in addition to the device's fingerprint is collected. What happens if a client denies location services?
Your agency can determine whether to make geolocation services mandatory or optional depending on your agency's requirements. If geolocation is optional, the system will use the IP address of the device to track the location, providing city-level accuracy. If geolocation is mandatory, the system will not allow the client to access the portal until location services are enabled. What happens if a client entered a restricted area?
The system immediately sends alerts to designated supervisors when a client enters or leaves predefined geographic boundaries, allowing for quick response to violations. How long is location data stored?
Location data is securely stored for the duration of the supervision period and can be archived according to agency requirements and compliance regulations. Can geolocation be disabled by the agency?
Yes, your agency can completely turn off geolocation for a portal. By default, geolocation is not enabled on a portal unless the agency has enabled it.How are privacy and security maintained?
All location data is encrypted and access is strictly controlled through role-based permissions, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and security standards. What types of reports are available?
The system generates comprehensive reports including location histories, violation alerts, movement patterns, and compliance statistics for individual clients or groups. Can geofencing boundaries be customized?
Yes, supervisors can set up custom geofencing boundaries for each client, with different rules for different times of day and different locations. How are notifications delivered?
Notifications are delivered through multiple channels including email, SMS, and push notifications, each containing secure portal links that track access location. Can the location be spoofed by the client?
We recommend using geolocation as an additional tool to help with compliance. For clients that require a higher level of compliance, we recommend using a physical GPS tracking device in addition to the portal.
